Savannah Association Shines at Squash Kenya National Trials
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Squash Kenya, the governing squash federation, held a thrilling squash trials event to select players for the All-Africa Squash Championships to be held in Kampala Uganda on November 17th 2025. Our very own Savannah Association coaches, Liz Mulwa and Leon Keya, along with their junior star player Elizabeth Wanjiru from the Naivasha Sports Club community squash program, participated in the event.
*A Day of Triumph*
The one-day event saw 9 top ladies and 7 top men competing for coveted spots. We couldn’t be prouder of our team’s achievements:
– *Liz Mulwa* secured the second seed position among the ladies.
– *Leon Keya* secured the 4th seed position among the men.
– *Elizabeth Wanjiru* secured the 3rd seed position among the ladies.
*Motivation for the Team*
Elizabeth Wanjiru, our junior star, expressed her joy and gratitude for achieving such a high seed position after dedicating herself to training through our program plans. This accomplishment serves as motivation for the 16 players in the program to put in the effort and training required to participate in similar opportunities.
*Wishing the Team All the Best*
As we head into re-composition training, we wish the Savannah team all the best in their future endeavors. We’re proud of our team’s hard work and dedication, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth and success.
